Specialist, Body QC (Data Financial)

General Summary:

Develop broad understanding and application of the automotive industry standards and continually strive for improvements and excellence in all facets of the business. Ensure quality standards of parts provided by suppliers and in-house operations. 

Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Create daily and weekly KPI reports for Kia Georgia management review.
• Monitor Body/Paint QC budgets and communicate status with management team on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist in ordering items, coordinating with vendor, purchasing, and finance teams to facilitate efficiency in receiving ordered items.
• Track Body/Paint/Stamping QC inventory, including consumable items and PPE, and re-order as necessary.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in quality control or supplier quality experience within a manufacturing environment preferably the automotive industry in body-in-white, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple priorities and time frame. 
• Possess strong self-responsibility. 
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in making recommendations, exercising company decisions, and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions. 
• Strong problem solving, technical, planning, organizational and decision-making skills and experience in the area of quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
• Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required. 
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access. 
• Experience with SAP system preferred.
