Production Control Specialist, Sales & Export

General Summary:

Provide expertise and team leadership of overall process in Specification Control subdivision such as engineering change orders, bill of material analysis, and assembly line/ broadcast code creation and review.

Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct setup, launch, and development of new sales markets. Negotiate new market conditions, distribution agreement terms, vehicle build configurations, analysis and creation pricing information, and order process management.
  • Develop and maintain communications and relationship with all distributors and vendors through daily support (Leading Weekly Meetings, Governing Adhoc Requests, Managing Order Receipt and conducting forecast analysis, controlling manifest changes, directing activities for new model launch, and managing outbound logistics in support of CFR base)
  • Conduct root cause analysis, 5 Why investigation, and utilize project management skills to determine root cause and develop/implement corrective actions accordingly.
  • Direct change management (Engineering Order application, process flow changes, Owner's Manual coordinated changes)
  • Direct month end close procedures for assigned region with supporting departments to ensure timeline and accuracy achievement (Distributor and finance reconciliation, Proxy List Mgmt., OS&D Reporting, Target Achievement)
  • Manage vendor invoice process: on time receipt, reconciliation, payment, purchase order creation & trend analysis in support of cost reduction initiatives.
  • Direct compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements as it pertains to the Government requirements in each territory (AALA, Cafta, USMCA, Distribution Agreements, US Census Reporting, Vendor Contracts)
  • Manage daily reporting through the analysis of achievement and develop countermeasures to ensure targets are met (Money Gate, Billing, Manifests, Distributor Reconciliations.)
  • Crosstrain and support all areas of focus in Sales and Distribution as directed by management team

 

 

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area of  Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in an equivalent field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience with exportation process is preferred.  (Compliance)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
  • Knowledge of planning, marketing and strategy.
  • Knowledge of import and export processes.
