General Summary:
The Manager of HRIS will manage the HRIS program, the payroll process, and compliance for all related federal, state and local compliance. This individual will build, streamline and automate all processes where possible and work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to advance process and system capabilities to drive highly efficient and effective programs.
Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage payroll reconciliation, tax filings, and garnishments, staying compliant with applicable labor laws.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll concerns. Oversee and maintain HRIS, ensuring data integrity and system functionality.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to implement system updates, troubleshoot issues, and develop workflows.
- Analyze HRIS data to support reporting, decision-making, and strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Prepare standardized payroll reports and data analytics for HR and Finance teams.
- Support internal and external audits related to HRIS and payroll functions. Identify and implement improvements to streamline HRIS and payroll processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends, payroll best practices, and technology advancements to recommend upgrades or new systems. Develop and deliver all related trainings to HR team members and other staff as needed.Lead and develop HRIS and payroll team, fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to support organizational goals and provide a seamless employee experience.
- Facilitate communication between HRIS, payroll, and other departments to help drive improved business results.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field along, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in process and systems management
- Strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work with all levels of company leadership.
- Proficiency HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors).
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Experience with SAP system preferred.
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws including Title VII, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, NLRA, ADEA, ADA, etc.
