Facilities Engineering Specialist (Technical Systems)

General Summary:

The specialist is responsible for technical support pertaining to assigned equipment. The specialist is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining smart factory systems including networking, controls equipment, and servers. 

Essential Primary Duties and Responsbilities

• The specialist is responsible for technical support pertaining to assigned equipment.

• Assist with maintaining and implementing smart factory systems.

• Assist maintenance group with managing key maintenance indicators such as budget, downtime, manpower, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and computerized system.

• Create specifications and drawings for new equipment or parts using various CAD software.

• Manage internal and external contractors.

• Train new team members on new equipment and new technology.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or computer science, or related field along with two (2) to  five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Experience with SAP system preferred.
• Experience networking preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with BI systems
• Knowledge and experience with coding in HTML, CSS, and JS.
• Ability to understand schematics and specifications of networking equipment.
