Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description: Automation support to include Sealer, LASD, and UBS robotics. Maintenance support, programming, path adjustments, and new model launch. Assisting in the direction of installing & operating new Paint Shop main equipment (Paint Robots, etc.). Serve as technical expert during new vehicle and/or launches. Request materials and equipment needed to prepare for production. Drive system improvements and methodology to increase productivity. Analyze daily and monthly downtime and create countermeasures to help reduce future downtime, effectively communicating pertinent information to all related parties, i.e. department management, quality, department team members and other Production areas. Report current projects, progress and issues to management. Lead problem solving activities in the production environment to ensure quality products, including development of short/long-term countermeasures. Analyze trend data using available indicators and develop, implement, and on follow-up with countermeasures to existing production concerns. Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and other Problem-Solving Teams. Follow-up with proactive ergonomics programs in production. Check and confirm local & federal automation laws, regulations and rules as required.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted.

Must have working or coursework/internship experience on each of the following skillsets: CATIA; SolidWorks; Robotics Software and programming; Matlab or/and Allen Bradley Ladder Logic programming; Process engineering and Data Analysis to identify root cause processing issues and develop long-term countermeasures;

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and knowledge of Software Systems Designing and Planning (Projects/Layout of Equipment) and Trouble Shooting Problems Associated with the Process.
