Undergrad Co-op/Internship Program
The goal of Kia Georgia’s University Cooperative Education Program is to recruit the very best students as co-ops, provide them with an outstanding experience at Kia (which includes quality project work), and establish a strong source to recruit from for the full time and part time entry level new hire team members. We consider our program to be very hands-on, giving student’s real-world experience in a corporate international environment.
As a co-op student you will be placed in a variety of departments, which includes Human Resources, Finance/Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, Public Relations.
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher
- Enrolled in a 4-year accredited Bachelor’s degree program
- Class standing required – Sophomore/Junior/Senior
- No Visa Sponsorship
- Offers of employment are contingent upon proof of the applicant’s legal right to work and be employed in the United States
- Must be able to work in West Point, GA
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Analytical thinking, communication skills, problem solving, and innovation
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Power Point. Basic engineering/math skills.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Program normally consist of 3 alternating semesters. Students must be able to work spring, summer, and fall semester.
- Students must be at least a sophomore level to participate
- Semesters: Spring– Jan to May; Summer – May to Aug; Fall – Aug to Dec
- Paid bi-weekly with a starting rate of $16 per hour
- Housing Allowance
- Team wear and safety gear are provided.
